neil-patrick-harris-the-out-list-hboGuess who is hosting the 2015 Academy Awards? Well, Neil Patrick Harris of course. According to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the “How I Met Your Mother” alum has been tapped to host the professional awards show that celebrates the best in film.

Harris has been one of the busiest men in Hollywood over the last few years. The Tony winner has recently ended a stint on Broadway as transgender rock star Hedwig in “Hedwig and the Angry Inch,” has starred in “Gone Girl,” the current top No.1 movie in America, has just released an autobiography and has recently married longtime beau, David Burtka. All of this is not including hosting the Tony Awards four times and the Emmy Awards twice. To say that Harris is excited about hosting the Oscars is an understatement.

“It is truly an honor and a thrill to be asked to host this year’s Academy Awards. I grew up watching the Oscars and was always in such awe of some of the greats who hosted the show,” Harris said in a statement. “To be asked to follow in the footsteps of Johnny Carson, Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres, and everyone else who had the great fortune of hosting is a bucket list dream come true.”

As Harris continues to fill up his resume with awards show hosting gigs, he is becoming one of the go-to guys when it comes to the selection process of finding someone who can capture the audience and keep them entertained during these shows. In fact, if Harris could somehow find a way to host the Grammys, he would be eligible for an extra special EGOT (people who have hosted all four major awards shows). Now the star just has to find away to topped his opening number performed at this year’s Tony Awards show.

About - Tarringo T. Vaughan always believed he had a love affair with literature. One of the first pictures he saw of himself was of him at maybe the age of three or four year’s old sitting with a book in his hand. But for Tarringo, growing up in the depths of the inner city both in Boston, MA and Springfield, MA made him believe that expression through the literary voice was un-cool and unattainable. As a very quiet and shy child he learned it became very valuable in his self expression. Born in 1976, Tarringo was the first child, grandchild and nephew in a family that had grown accustomed to struggle. His mother was a teenager who quickly lost the support of my father who today he knows very little of. These aspects of his life triggered the inspiration of his pen.
