Rap artist Eve believes more closeted hip-hop stars should come out

Eve Signs Copies Of "Lip Lock"Hip-hop artist and actress Eve is back on the scene with a new album. Known for such hits as “Who’s that Girl?”, “Love is Blind” and “Let Me Blow Ya Mind”, the talented rap artist new album titled “Lip Lock” will feature collaborations with Missy Elliot, Snoop Dogg and Dawn Richard. Eve also has something to say about homosexuality in the hip hop community. In an interview with Gigwise on June 7, Eve praises R&B singer Frank Ocean and feels more closeted hip-hop stars should do the same.

Eve called Ocean “brave” for coming out in 2012 as bisexual in an industry filled with homophobia. There have been gay rumors surrounding stars like Lil’Wayne and Kanye West, but no one else has yet to come out of any significance besides hip-hop artist Nikki Minaj who came out as bisexual and is very supportive of the gay community.  Read More
