Actor Joe McHale denies gay rumors, finds it ‘flattering’

On Sunday, April 21st, 2013

Joel MchaleActor Joe McHale is the latest celebrity with evolving gay rumors. Despite being happily married to Sarah Williams, there has still been an assumption about the actor’s sexuality. As US Magazine reported on Thursday, the “Community” actor doesn’t mind the rumors and finds it ‘flattering’.

Like music mogul Simon Cowell and actor James Franco who are two of many male celebrities who have shot down rumors about their sexuality, McHale isn’t offended at all and actually takes it as a compliment that his gay fans thinks he is gay.

“I always find it really weird when guys flip out over someone thinking they might be gay. If a guy gets offended by that, there’s something’s wrong with him.”

It is also a symbol of security when it comes to sexuality and what others may think, especially when a person is in the spotlight. McHale understands this and admits he has had guys hit on him and tweet him saying they are staying at hotels. He has also joked about having crushes on other public figures such as Brian Williams, Kobe Bryant, and Chaz Bono.

McHale is grateful for his gay following because it is helping the struggling ratings of his show “Community” which is a show on life support. He told the Advocate:

“Community needs all the help it can get, so thank God for our gay fans. Our young gay fans especially are the loudest and most Internet-savvy. That also speaks to the quality of our show, which I think is highly intelligent.”

It could also have something to do with McHale’s good looks.

About - Tarringo T. Vaughan always believed he had a love affair with literature. One of the first pictures he saw of himself was of him at maybe the age of three or four year’s old sitting with a book in his hand. But for Tarringo, growing up in the depths of the inner city both in Boston, MA and Springfield, MA made him believe that expression through the literary voice was un-cool and unattainable. As a very quiet and shy child he learned it became very valuable in his self expression. Born in 1976, Tarringo was the first child, grandchild and nephew in a family that had grown accustomed to struggle. His mother was a teenager who quickly lost the support of my father who today he knows very little of. These aspects of his life triggered the inspiration of his pen.
